QUBIC's flagship annual competition. Interdisciplinary student teams spent eight weeks commercializing patented Queen's IP — backed by mentorship, milestone check-ins, and workshops — before pitching live to a panel of industry judges on showcase night. Full teams, technologies, and outcomes live on the Pitch Competition page.

Across five interactive sessions, Queen's Partnerships & Innovation and QUBIC walked students through the full arc of a venture — from protecting intellectual property and sizing market opportunities, to shaping venture concepts and pitching with clarity and impact. Participants left with a commercialization toolkit they carried into the IP Pitch Competition and beyond.

A low-stakes, high-banter evening that pulled undergrads in from every faculty. Teams went head-to-head across rounds of biotech history, drug-discovery trivia, startup lore, and a lightning round of Queen's-specific questions — with pizza, prizes, and a reminder that biotech doesn't have to be serious all the time.

A speed-networking evening that paired undergrads with graduate students from programs across the university — back-to-back candid conversations about the application process, lab culture, program trade-offs, and what grad-school life is actually like. People came with questions; they left with contacts, next steps, and a few new collaborators.
